Your Mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Frontend Engineer to join our growing team, with a specialized focus on developing and enhancing our critical back-office applications. In this pivotal role, you'll design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge user interfaces that empower our team of 100 customer agents to efficiently support a vast network of over 800,000 merchants. Your work will directly streamline agent workflows, improve data accessibility, and contribute significantly to our operational efficiency and merchant satisfaction. You'll translate complex business requirements into intuitive, high-performance, and scalable user experiences, collaborating closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our internal tools and ensuring a seamless, productive environment for our support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly responsive and scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and a strong emphasis on TypeScript.
  • Collaborate deeply with product and design teams to understand the unique needs of our customer agents and translate complex operational workflows into intuitive and efficient user interfaces.
  • Develop robust, data-intensive UIs that handle large datasets and complex business logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness for our internal users, leveraging TypeScript for robust type checking and improved code quality.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring high performance and reliability of mission-critical internal applications, with a focus on type-safe development practices.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and mentoring junior engineers, particularly on effective TypeScript usage and best practices in the context of large-scale internal tools.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks and bugs, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted experience for our customer agents.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our frontend development practices, tooling, and standards, with an emphasis on internal system development and type safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies, trends, and best practices, applying them to enhance our back-office platforms.

Your Story

  • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, including advanced type manipulation, generics, and understanding of complex type inference.
  • Strong proficiency in React.js and its core principles, developed with a type-safe approach.
  • Extensive experience with Next.js for server-side rendering, static site generation, and API routes, with a focus on TypeScript integration.
  • Solid understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API, Zustand) in a TypeScript environment.
  • Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs, with an understanding of how to define and use types for API responses.
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, especially when working with internal stakeholders.

Optional Tech Skills (Nice To Have)

  • Experience with GraphQL and related client libraries (e.g., Apollo Client), specifically type-safe GraphQL client usage.
  • Proficiency with UI component libraries such as Material UI or Chakra UI, with experience leveraging their TypeScript definitions.

Differentiators (What Sets You Apart)

  • Significant experience in working with back-office applications: Proven track record of developing complex, data-intensive interfaces for internal tools or administrative systems, understanding the unique challenges of such environments, including user provisioning, audit trails, and data integrity, all developed with strong type discipline.
  • Experience in using AI Code Generators on development: Practical experience leveraging AI-powered coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Tabnine) to enhance productivity, accelerate development, and maintain code quality in a large-scale application context, ensuring type correctness in generated code.
  • Experience in automating page creation and understanding how no-code tools are created: Demonstrated ability to implement solutions that automate UI generation or have a strong conceptual understanding of the underlying principles and architectures behind no-code/low-code platforms, particularly for internal tool development, with an eye towards type-safe configuration and extensibility.
